Anthology Title: Creativity and Chaos: Artistic Endeavours for Trying Times

Theme: Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything; and a season for every activity under the heavens.
This anthology will feature a collection of work focused on how the creators use their artistic endeavours to cope with difficult and chaotic times in their lives.
Target Audiences: General Christian Market; Christian Writers, Poets, Artists, Photographers; Christian Ministers, Counsellors, Creativity Coaches; Christian Theatre
Eligibility: InScribe invites members to submit their work to be considered for publication in their 2024 anthology. (A limited number of nonmembers’ work may be considered.) InScribe’s anthologies showcase our members’ writings, whether they are established, emerging, or new Christian writers. Each anthology is carefully curated by a committee of experienced writers, authors, and editors.
Book Specs: Trade paperback book (6” x 9”) with roughly 200 pages, possibly also an e-book

*A category must have at least three acceptable submissions to be included.
Other Requirements

- All entries must be written in an anecdotal style from a Christian perspective.
- Any submissions found to be created, in whole or in part, using Artificial Intelligence (AI) content generators will be disqualified.

- Only unpublished work will be considered. It must not have appeared before in any print or online form, including personal blogs, websites, and social media.

- Simultaneous submissions will not be considered, (i.e., you must not have submitted your work elsewhere) with the exception of entries to InScribe’s Fall Writing Contest. Winning Fall Contest entries may be considered for publication in the anthology at the discretion of the editors.

- You may submit up to three written pieces and six pieces of artwork/photos.

- There is no cost to enter your submissions.

- Maximum acceptable length for prose is 1500 words; one page for poetry (There is no minimum length.)

- Appropriate quotes, tips, and fillers no longer than 50 words may be submitted for consideration.

- Submissions (excluding images) should be submitted as a Word document attachment.

- Original visual art & photography must be black & white, high quality with a minimum resolution of 300 PPI, and submitted in jpg format.

- Include your title, genre, word count, and personal information (full name as it’s to appear in the anthology, address, phone number & email address) in the top left-hand corner of the first page of each piece submitted.

- Read carefully and adhere to the submission guidelines posted on our website.

- All submissions will be reviewed and submitters whose work is accepted will be notified and must be willing and able to work with the publication’s editors to polish their work for publication.

- All submitters whose work is accepted for publication are required to sign a formal contract.

- All rights to published work will remain with the authors.
Payment
All published contributors will receive two copies of the anthology plus a discount on pre-release purchases of additional copies.
